The dangers of Facebook
Many people have Facebook accounts so that they can share photos and information with their friends. You think that all your information is protected and that the only people can see your photos and personal information are the people you friend.
What if I told you that you are wrong? That Facebook is not as secure as you think it is.  Third parties have the ability to view your information and to collect data from you without your knowledge. Every time you go to play Farmville and okay the application which shows third parties your information. These third parties can do anything with you information. They can sell it to other companies or just store it and use it later. They can hack into your Facebook and get your username and password. Which the hackers can sell or steal your identity.
If you do not physically know your Facebook friends then the odds of them being real are not good. People who have five hundred to a thousand friends about forty percent of those friends are fake. These “fake friends” can be bots to some weird guy on the Internet. Do you think your friends would ever jeopardize your online security? They can unknowingly. A lot of times hackers will send a message to you from a friend’s account asking for money. People will fall for this and wire the money not knowing that it never reached its destination and actually went to somebody else. How private do you think private chats are? They are actually not that private. There was a hack that went unnoticed for years that allowed third parties to see your private conversations with you friends. Facebook just fixed a little while ago. Okay, it is no big problem I will just make my security tighter on my page. Well every time Facebook redesigns the website your security is set back to default settings. Facebook does not warn it users about this. They just send an email letting users know that they are redoing the site.
Facebook is not as safe as you think it is and is a very dangerous way of communication. There is no reason to go home and delete you account but be careful with whom you are friends with and who you allow to access your site.
